Lemon pepper Wings 8/10 Yams 10/10 Mac n cheese. I expected more for this to be a cheese state 8/10 The food was good! Customer service could’ve been better. And It wouldve been nice to get some cutlery and napkins so i could eat my food.

Life changing. I work on Monroe Street and there are many different options for food, but I would recommend this for someone looking for a real meal that's also cheap. I got their on-the-go sample for $5 along with a cornbread muffin (ended up just under $7). Euphoric. Chicken was so good and so were the sides included. Cornbread wasn't dry either which is something I really appreciate. Recommended it to my co-workers even.

I ordered the food via DoorDash so I couldn’t tell you about the atmosphere. The food was exactly what it says “soul food”. It was amazing! The only thing I wasn’t the biggest fan of was the mac n cheese but I think that had something to do with sitting in a container during delivery. I ordered the bbq ribs, corn muffin, mac n cheese, and sweet potatoes. The ribs were tender and juicy! I already dug in as you can see in the photo lol!

Oh my god. So amazing. The woman running this restaurant knows what she’s doing!!!! The catfish was to die for. Best soul food I ever had. Thank you so much for the amazing food. You’re the best!! We will definitely be back!!

I'm a pretty harsh food reviewer, and am very honest about bad meals. This place was excellent! The chicken honestly reminded me of childhood meals at Grandma's, tasted very home cooked, BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy, crispy and big! I'm a big dude and 6 wings were more than enough food. The collard greens were very juicy and tasted great, mac and cheese tasted home-cooked as well. I wish I found out about this restaurant sooner, they have a damn fine business. I look forward to my next meal here once. They actually ran out of cornbread muffins after I ordered, and the woman at the counter replaced it with a giant slice of chocolate cake. Made my day!

Hands down!! The best restaurant in Madison the sauced up chix is the best I ever had and the Mac and collard greens was very tasteful… I will be back👍👍

Got off the plane for business and saw a 4.8 for some soul food and was not disappointed. I got the rib plate with sweet potatoes and Mac n cheese. The ribs were great fall off the bone. The Mac was so good but the sweet potatoes... lemme just say I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes but she recommended them, so I tried them... yo these were a freaking dessert!!! So good!!! Needless to say I'm coming back and will and already have recommended this place!

Stopped by Marie's Soul Food after my doctor's appointment. Was immediately drawn to the the aroma of food as we walked into the restaurant. Ordered food to go (I had the catfish, greens and mac, husband had jumbo party wings, greens and mac). Once back home in Rockford, warmed food and was not disappointed. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Portions were more than enough for me, so ended up saving half of my food for lunch the next day. Will definitely stop again when back in Madison.
